CRYOTHERAPY FOR THOSE PRACTISING SPORT

Many injuries can be treated conservatively by the implementation of appropriate physiotherapy, massage, hydrotherapy and kinesitherapy. Sometimes, however, sports injuries require surgical treatment. In these cases, the use of cryotherapy in the form of local or systemic treatment (in the cryochamber) will have an analgesic, anti-edema, anti-inflammatory effect and regulate muscle tone. Cryotherapy is then used as a main or supportive method of treatment (e. g. after surgery).

wskazaniaIndications for cryotherapy in competitive sport:
1. muscles
a. traumatic damage (tension, fiber breakage, painful tension)
2 .fascism
a. fascia compartment syndrome,
3. tendon
a. twisting,
b. stretching,
c. tendinosis,
d. tendinopatie,
e.Arthritis of tendons and trailers (of the popliteal muscle, tendonitis Achilles, tennis elbow, golf elbow, shoulder pain syndrome),
4. joints
a. articular joint injury, articular cartilage damage,
5. overload
a. e.g, patellar knee (runner’s knee),
b. Thigh muscle group,
c. Lumbar muscle (lumbar back),
d. Inflammation of plantar epithelium,
6. chronic sports injuries
a. e.g heel spur inflammation,
b. Morton’s metatarsis,
c. fatigue fractures of metatarsal bones,
7. wellness support (stimulating activities),
8. support of sport training and strength training,
9. acceleration of extrusion (regulation of oxidative stress)
10. overload prevention

wskazaniaCRYOTHERAPY has an additional stimulatory effect on the body leading to increased exercise capacity, which enables achieving an anabolic effect similar to that induced by the use of pharmacological doping agents.
